In the past two and a half years you have continued to help make my stays at the beach very enjoyable ones and from the first time I arrived in Jacksonville back in April 2007 with my squadron, to this last Monday when I said my goodbye’s, I have always been made to feel extremely welcome. Your staff took excellent care of us. Mom was very surprised and overwhelmed with it all, and thoroughly enjoyed her weekend… Tommy acknowledged Mom’s presence, honored my brother, Chip…who many people remembered, and Mom stood up and flashed the audience her COWBOY t-shirt from the ’70?s and got a standing ovation!!! It was precious. We were amazed at the quality of the food at Sun Dog. The menu was beautiful online, and because of the restaurant having the outward appearance of a ’60?s diner were not sure what to expect. The quality was off the charts! Everyone really enjoyed their dinners! Proving once again…you can’t judge a book by its cover. I have travelled the world and the food at your restaurant was as good or better than many, many places that ‘appear’ to be fine dining establishments!! Thank you! The day after he found out his innersection entry had earned him a spot in the final movie, we ventured down to Daytona for an invite only, WINNER TAKE ALL $1,000 tow-at contest. The crowd is usually spread out pretty thin because of the length of the beach. This is a great break for beginners. The new Jax pier is located in North Jax Beach five blocks north of Beach Blvd. (The old one was destroyed by a hurricane.) The Jax Beach Pier is the area’s high-tide break, and there are various peaks off of the pier which helps spread everyone out a bit.
